Problem: Despite the knowledge of the importance of early paternal involvement in the child's life, studies show that healthcare professionals still underestimate the father's role in the neonatal process and in healthcare. Fathers often feel overlooked and lack targeted information and recognition. This can lead to lower involvement from fathers, which can negatively impact both the child's development and the family's well-being.

Solution: Development of an e-learning course that focuses on educating nurses to adopt a targeted, father-inclusive culture. The e-learning will emphasize communication and support nurses in recognizing and involving fathers in the family-centered neonatal process and healthcare. The goal is to strengthen the father's role and ensure they receive the necessary information and support, promoting a more holistic and positive experience for the father, mother, and child.
Low-Fi/Hi-Fi Prototypes & Design iterations: During this process, we focused on refining how the content structure could be presented more effectively. The design iterations were shared with both the target audience and the client for testing, allowing us to identify pain points early on. Through feedback, we realized that the page contained too much information, which led to a necessary reduction and streamlining of content to create a clearer, more focused user experience.
Beige, as a neutral and earthy color, reflects the clean and calm nature of hospital walls and surfaces, while its warmth creates an inviting atmosphere. This balance is crucial in creating a clinical yet safe environment. The color also draws inspiration from soft materials like baby bedding and knitted hats, further enhancing the feeling of care and security.
My tasks included developing the visual language and universe for the e-learning course, creating an engaging user interface for the target audience, and designing visual elements, including icons and avatars based on real people.

The e-learning was developed in close collaboration with Region Zealand and the Capital Region of Denmark and is currently being implemented for use in neonatal departments across the country.
